What does it mean? 1. Business logic will be replaced by AI Tier or Agents. 2. But what is 'Business logic'? When a developer gathers and understands client requirements and then codes the functionality, it is called Business logic. 3. What is the AI Tier or Agents? Or how it will replace 'Business logic'? We will train the Agents by feeding them the same client requirements, and AI will generate the code itself, so it means that developers who used to code for implementing the Business logic will be required in lesser numbers and will be replaced by AI Agents.

How is the AI Tier/Agents working nowadays? Currently, they exist in generative AI-based copilots that help developers generate reusable code modules on demand and help them save time in doing redundant tasks. Computers were invented to help humans save time in doing redundant tasks, and similarly, generative AI is another step in this pursuit. Many companies are either buying off-the-shelf copilots or are building internal ones tailored to their systems.

How would AI Tier be in the future? For Developers Not shortly but eventually, when AI Agents will be autonomous and fully capable of doing all the code independently, then developers will transition to be the AI consultants roles, and their job will be:

• Select and tune the AI agents.
• Recommend architectures like databases or frameworks as per the business/system need.
• Validate that the AI Agent`s generated logic aligns with the business requirements.

For QA Engineers The role of QA engineers will shift from testing human-generated Business logic to testing an AI Agent-generated Business logic.
